Description
RFxHH is an artistic collaboration between RenderedFlesh and Hey Hazmus. This animated video loop is sold as a unique 1/1. Single frames from the animation will also be available for purchase as separate editions. >>>>>>>>>> Hey Hazmus: " This collab feels especially poignant in that it has demonstrated to me both in process and result that as artists and observers of art, we can share complex and cyclical moments of powerful emotions. Much of the time we experience anxiety, fear and confusion alone but when expressed through the process and observation of our art, others can recognise and relate. Although outwardly abstract, RFxHH has a visceral experience to share with those who choose to experience it". >>>>>>>>>> RenderedFlesh: "Using 3d scans of ourselves and a discussion of mental health as the basis for collaboration "RFxHH" evolved over several months. After some initial mock-ups we began building up the 3d model in VR using Gravity Sketch, combining photogrammetry and modelling, before transferring into Blender for animation and rendering. By dividing up the frames of the animation we gave ourselves a rigid structure within which we had the freedom to explore different mental states. We worked on our own renders independently, bringing them together in the final stage of the process. This gave the collaboration an exciting element of unpredictability and randomness which reflects the instability and chaos that can often exist below the surface of a public persona. Finally we generated our own audio samples and synchronised them with each visual glitch. The result is an audio-visual kinetic mashup of styles and emotions."
